The Australian Broadcasting Corporation runs ABC Science online, which provides science news across lots of different science topics from ancient worlds, human beings, environment and nature, innovation and technology and health and medicine. It is an Australian gateway to science.
As well as the regularly updated news items, there are also features, which cover science topics in a bit more depth, quizzes and video and audio material. There is even stuff to interest the kids!
Active for just over 10 years now, ABC science online runs with funding from the Australian Government's Science and Technology Awareness Program (STAP). In 2003, it won the Prix Italia Prize for excellence. |
