The latest issue of Nature Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing area of physics. It is named after the nanometre - a unit of length that is almost unimaginable small. Just a billionth of a metre. That's one twenty-five thousandth of the thickness of a human hair.

Nanotechnology is engineering that works at this level of scale. It involves building tiny machines and circuits from individual molecules, even individual atoms to carry out a specific function. Nanotechnology is destined to change many aspects of our lives, probably impacting most on medicine and computers and electronics.

A great site that explains all about nanotechnology and how it can be used is the US-based site the Center for Responsible Nanotechnology (CRN)

Nature Nanotechnology is one of the scientific journals within the Nature Publishing Group. Its interesting articles, tend to be complex, and you need a subscription, or a library to access the full articles.
